Experts emphasize the importance of energy-efficient practices, waste management, and hazard reduction in fostering sustainability and long-term environmental stewardship in laboratory settings during a session led by Asst. Prof. Suchada Chaisawat.
The Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2024 event continued its focus on innovative and sustainable practices with a session titled “Safety LAB Standards for Sustainability”, held at LAB Square. The session, conducted in Thai, provided critical insights into the importance of adhering to safety standards in laboratories to foster sustainability and long-term environmental stewardship.
The session was led by Asst. Prof. Suchada Chaisawat, Director of the Center for Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). Asst. Prof. Suchada, a recognized expert in laboratory safety and sustainability, emphasized the crucial role that proper lab safety standards play in ensuring both environmental protection and the safety of lab personnel.
Key discussion points included the implementation of energy-efficient practices, waste management protocols, and the reduction of hazardous substances in laboratory operations.
