The Singaporean government agency Enterprise Singapore and Northwell Health, the largest health care provider in New York State, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration between the U.S. and Singapore in advancing health care innovation.
Through this agreement, Northwell Health and Enterprise Singapore will establish a structured pathway for Singapore-based biomedical companies to engage with one of the most comprehensive health care systems in the United States. The collaboration aims to foster and advance innovation in areas such as precision medicine, digital health, clinical trials and operational excellence, supporting the shared mission of improving patient care globally. The signing of this MOU continues Northwell Health's efforts to establish global partnerships, following previous collaborations with other international trade and innovation organizations.
Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell Health said “Our collaboration with Enterprise Singapore provides an opportunity to connect with some of the most innovative companies in Singapore and accelerate the adoption of new technologies that will shape the future of health care.”
Enterprise Singapore drives the growth of Singapore’s biomedical innovation ecosystem. It continues to support companies in their business and innovation endeavors by strengthening their capabilities and providing access to funding and global partnerships. Through Enterprise Singapore’s partnership with Northwell Health, Singapore-based companies will have the opportunity to collaborate with global clinical key opinion leaders to co-innovate and validate technologies that will improve health care outcomes.
Over the past year, Northwell has been working closely with Enterprise Singapore and Singapore-based companies through the health system’s Global Strategic Partnerships (GSP) International Business Program, an initiative to establish alliances with government-supported trade agencies as a centralized access point to innovative businesses and technologies. GSP was created to help position Northwell nationally and internationally as a leading destination for partnership, collaboration and innovation, and the International Business Program was established to connect global partners with its health system’s clinical, research, and business leaders. The program provides a gateway for international organizations to collaborate on strategic initiatives that drive innovation, improve patient outcomes, and support sustainable health care models.
