Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority inks MoU with Health Ministry in Malaysia

Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) and the Ministry of Health, Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for continued cooperation in matters pertaining to pharmaceutical products and cosmetics including post-market vigilance, enforcement and Good Clinical Practice for clinical trials.

This MoU is a renewal of the MoU signed in 2012 and marks an important milestone in solidifying ties between the two regulatory authorities.

As National Drug Regulatory Agencies, both HSA and the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), Ministry of Health of Malaysia, protect public health and safety of their respective nations by ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of pharmaceutical products and cosmetics manufactured in, imported and exported from Singapore and Malaysia.

The MoU was signed in Singapore at the Health Sciences Authority’s Outram building by Dr Choong May Ling, Mimi, Chief Executive Officer of HSA, and Norhaliza A. Halim, Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Services, Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
