Samsung Biologics signs MoU with Seoul National University to foster bio experts

South Korea-based Samsung Biologics and Seoul National University (SNU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster bio experts as part of industrial-academia collaboration. 

Under the MOU, Samsung Biologics and the School of Biological Sciences at SNU will establish a programme to nurture bio talent, as well as offer Master’s scholarship for top performing undergraduate and an opportunity to work at Samsung Biologics after completing their degree. 

The latest MoU is part of Samsung Biologics’ efforts to strengthen the local bio talent pool and drive innovation. The company plans to expand collaboration with other universities that have bio-related majors. 

“Samsung Biologics was able to achieve rapid growth and hold the world’s largest biomanufacturing capacity in a short period thanks to our talented employees,” said Kyuho Lee, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer at Samsung Biologics. “We will continue efforts to foster experts that can lead the bio industry.”
