Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and VinUniversity in Vietnam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic, comprehensive, and long-term alliance.
The alliance is aimed at supporting VinUni in becoming an innovative entrepreneurial university recognised among the world's top 100 universities, contributing to Vietnam’s development as a key player in science and technology.
Under the MoU framework, NTU and VinUni will comprehensively collaborate in mutual areas of interest including but not limited to Computer Science, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and Intelligent Mobility, AI in Materials Science and Engineering, as well as Health Sciences.
The NTU-VinUni alliance encompasses diverse initiatives including faculty exchange and secondments, postgraduate talent development, joint research collaboration, and promotion of signature events.
NTU President Professor Ho Teck Hua and President of VinUniversity Dr Lê Mai Lan exchanged the MoU documents at a ceremony held at the Vietnam Singapore Business Roundtable recently.
The collaboration with NTU Singapore marks the next step in VinUni’s vision towards achieving world-class academic and research standards, aiming to elevate Vietnam's intellectual standing on the global stage and attract global talents to Vietnam.
