Regency Specialist Hospital (RSH) introduces the newly opened Regency Medical Care Centre (RMCC), strategically located in The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey. As the first ambulatory care centre located in a shopping mall in Johor, RMCC is designed to be a one-stop healthcare hub, providing convenience and accessibility to quality medical services right in the heart of the city.

The opening event, graced by Yang Berhormat Tuan Ling Tian Soon, the Johor Health and Environment Committee Chairman, further reinforces RMCC’s pivotal role in supporting the health needs of local and international patients.

Yang Berhormat Tuan Ling Tian Soon commended RMCC for aligning with government initiatives aimed at boosting medical tourism and improving community health. “RMCC exemplifies the success of public-private partnerships in advancing healthcare. It not only strengthens Johor’s position as a healthcare hub but also encourages proactive health management and disease prevention for the benefit of all.”

The upcoming Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, expected to be finalized during the 11th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders' Retreat, will further strengthen healthcare collaboration and enhance medical tourism across borders.

Serena Yong, Chief Executive Officer of Regency Specialist Hospital, outlined RMCC’s commitment  “ The new HMI One app, designed for local and international patients exemplifies this commitment by simplifying scheduling appointments at RMCC."

In recent times, Johor has also seen an increase in health cluster outbreaks from food poisoning to the influenza virus and dengue cases in June 2024. As a convenient ambulatory care centre, RMCC focuses on health screenings, specialist services, occupational health, and diagnostic imaging to enhance patient care by connecting to Regency Specialist Hospital’s renowned healthcare expertise.

In line with rapid technological advancements, as seen in the government’s 2022 initiative to test medical robotics across five hospitals, RMCC is equipped with state-of-the-art technology—such as X-ray, ultrasound, Digital Mammogram (Tomosynthesis), CT scan, and Bone Densitometry Examination (DEXA), to ensure fast and accurate diagnoses, leading to improved health outcomes.
